What is Talk Therapy?
It has only been in the past 10+ years that researchers have discovered that our “experiences” changes the way neurons fire in our brains. Positive healing experiences can restore our bodies to emotional and physical health. Through therapy, as a result of new emotional experiences, behaviors and understandings, clients can make substantial changes in their feelings, moods, and behaviors.
What is EMDR Therapy?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a method of psychotherapy that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma.
EMDR is also effective to use as a treatment for adverse life experiences, which means any experience that was overwhelming at the time that it happened. Current negative emotions, feelings, and behaviors are frequently caused by these overwhelming earlier experiences in life. In EMDR therapy we will make a map of your current dissatisfying experiences and identify the earlier experiences they are associated with. These “experiences” become “targets” for processing. The processing activates the brain’s natural healing process, allowing the memory to be properly stored. Once a memory is properly stored in the brain you will no longer experience the disturbing thoughts, beliefs, and emotions that were associated with it. This naturally creates changes in behavior and experience.
A substantial body of research shows that adverse life experiences contribute to both psychological and biomedical pathology over a person’s lifespan.

Ignoring these challenges doesn’t make them disappear; in fact, they can amplify as individuals try to suppress them or resort to unhealthy coping mechanisms, exacerbating the situation.
What is Psychedelic Integration Therapy?
Academia and medical research are beginning to support the idea of integrating psychedelics into the treatment of psychological disorders. This movement is gaining momentum and becoming more mainstream. Compelling scientific evidence now exists to support what many psychonauts, spiritual seekers, and shamanic practitioners have been exploring for many years.
We offer confidential therapy sessions to help you mentally prepare (preparation sessions) and then process and unpack your psychedelic journey after the experience through integration sessions. Together we will explore your intentions, examine what you hope to gain from psychedelic work, and later integrate insights that may have unfolded during your experience. We will help you make sense of the experience and support you in creating positive changes in your life based on the messages you received.
